In addition to advertising, we solicited bids for the purchase of carpet (specifications attached) for the Ridgemont Elementary Library. Funds are available for this purchase within the General Purpose School Fund budget for the current fiscal year as previously approved by the Board. We received bids from three (3) companies, which are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. Individual bids were as follows:

Union City Carpet Center – $12,471.57
The Color Shop – $13,353.17
R & S Carpets, LLC – $13,855.00

The low bid, including installation and disposal of the old carpet, was submitted by Union City Carpet Center in the amount of $12,471.57.

I recommend approval of the low bid as submitted by Union City Carpet Center in the amount of $12,471.57.
